10 Best RV Youtube Channels You Should Be Watching
If you’re new to the RV world, Youtube is a big part of the culture. We actually discovered the idea of full time RV living after stumbling on the huge amount of content on Youtube.
You can find everything you need to know about RVing – buying an RV, how to live full time, boondocking, gear, winter rving, essentials, and all of the destinations! There are many amazing RV Youtube channels, and we’ve compiled a list of our favourites for you.
Keep Your Daydream
If you’ve spent any time on the RV side of Youtube, you’ve probably heard of Marc and Tricia’s channel, Keep Your Daydream. They release a new video every Sunday, and we watch every week. KYD was a big inspiration for us to start full time RVing, and remains one of our very favourite RV Youtube channels.
Why watch: for feel-good RVing stories, community, and easy to understand how-tos from experts
Happily Ever Hanks
Kyle and Renee Hanks got into full time RVing as travel nurses, pivoted to Youtube during the pandemic, and found huge success! You can tune in for a new video every Thursday. Another favourite of ours, the Hanks are true full timers, with no home base to retreat to like many other Youtubers.
Why watch: for a fun and engaged community, dad humour, cats
Open Roading
Joseph and Kalyn started full time RVing many years ago after being inspired by another channel we recommend below, Less Junk More Journey. After a few years of a love/hate relationship with Youtube, they are back and better than ever! Open Roading offers unique perspectives on less-talked about subjects like workamping and the reality of making a living on the road.
Why watch: for an authentic full timing experience, reality of RV life, heartwarming stories
Changing Lanes
Chad and Tara are another channel we’ve been watching for many years. Changing Lanes is our go-to resource when we need to do any maintenance or upkeep on our RV. Chad offers step-by-step tutorials on pretty much every aspect of RV repair or maintenance. Their channel also offers fun crossovers with other RV content creators and RV tours with their partnership with Grand Design.
Why watch: for maintenance guides, how-tos, and road trips across the USA
All About RVs
Jared at All About RVs is a great place to learn everything you need to know about your rig. His channel offers how-tos, expert advice, RV news, gadgets you should be excited about, and much more. Jared takes a no nonsense approach to teaching – you know exactly what you’re going to get when you watch his videos, with none of the fluff!
Why watch: for easy to understand tutorials and staying up to date with the RV world
Wild RV Life
Victoria and Craig are relative newbies to full time RV life; they started back in 2021 and launched on Youtube shortly after. They are another millennial couple navigating life on the road and sharing road trips across the US.
Why watch: for US road trips and daily RV life adventures
Less Junk, More Journey
Less Junk, More Journey is one of the OG RV Youtubers. They have been documenting their full time journey since 2015. They help to shed insight on full time RV living with young kids – even sharing the birth of their baby while living in an RV!
Why watch: for road trip guides and RV experiences with young kids
Grateful Glamper
Grateful Glamper is a family of 4 who started sharing all about full time RV life back in 2018. They often share videos about RV news and culture and daily life on the road with their kids.
Why watch: for keeping up to date with what’s going on in the RV world, campground reviews, and RVing with kids
Honourable Mentions
Tim and Fin
Tim and Allison (aka Fin) host ‘Tripped’ on Youtube. While they aren’t specifically RV content, they did spend about a year renovating and driving to Alaska in an RV. They were the first content we interacted with when we started watching RV Youtube, and we still go back and watch their old Tripped RV vlogumentaries when needing some inspiration!
ON World Travel
Like Tim and Fin, Olivia and Nathan are more general travel content creators, but during lockdown they spent almost two years traveling around the US in their travel trailer. As fellow millennials, we really connected to them and their experiences, and they remain one of our favourites to this day.
